Vimal Rajkoomar read law at London South Bank University and pursued his Bar Professional Training(BPTC) at Manchester Metropolitain University.
He was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011 and became a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple. After completing his pupillage at Benoit Chambers and Hawoldar Chambers, he was admitted to the Mauritian Bar in 2013 and has been practising member of the Mauritian Bar Association since then.
He is a practising Barrister of over 10 years of experience and is involved in litigation and advisory works in relation to Criminal, Civil, Family, Employment and Corporate Law. He appears regularly before all Courts, Tribunals and Regulatory bodies in Mauritius.
He is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Mauritius and an approved trainer of the Financial Services Institute(FSI) specialising in financial crimes and risk assessment. He is also very dedicated to social justice and animal rights.
